GRAHAM MACKENZIE
Graham Mackenzie is a Scottish fiddle player from Inverness with a Masters degree in Scottish Music. He was twice a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, as well as being a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year. Graham was commissioned by Celtic Connections 2015 to write a New Voices performance – ‘Crossing Borders’, which he then recorded as an album.

ISLAY SESSIONERS
In November 2015 a group of musicians gathered on Islay to play a special memorial concert at the Islay Sessions festival, thus laying the groundwork an album. In January 2016 at Celtic Connections this same group of musicians, ‘The Islay Sessioners’ as they called themselves, performed this music as part of Islay Night, a concert that both celebrated the music and culture of Islay, and the tunes of Fraser Shaw.
